The Wonderful World of Blogging

I have already stated the reasons I love blogging in past posts. It is my journal, my way of recording my life. A great way to keep in touch with family and friends. And I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know people better through their blogs, as well. It is my outlet. My contact with the 'outside world'.

I have really enjoyed adding to my blogroll as an easy way to see which of my family and friends have updated. I get excited to see new posts, and enjoy reading your stories. But in light of some recent events (which I will not elaborate on,) I will be removing my blogroll. However, I will most likely leave my family's links because, well, they are family.

I am thrilled that two of my kids have jumped on the blog bandwagon. But along with that, comes an added risk. I am very protective of what I let them see and do on the Internet. My blog is a place they are welcome, and frequent when it's updated. I have removed the sidebar, as a precaution. To remove the easily accessible links from my blog. Links are great. I have no problem with them reading your blogs. They enjoy reading your blogs as much as I do. But I would like to be able to monitor more closely which blogs they visit. So to avoid hurting any feelings, I will remove all the blogs. Please don't think it was anything you did. It really isn't. And for the record, I will still be reading ALL your blogs (and then some...)

I have contemplated it for some time now, but hesitated. Like I said, it is a highlight to have the blogs of my friends and family so easily accessible. So like I said, please know that I am still faithfully reading ALL the blogs that were on my sidebar. I will still comment. And I would love comments here, as well.After all, the comments are the immediate gratification of our blogging efforts. So go ahead, come out of hiding, and leave me some love. I promise to leave some back!
