Nathan tells me frequently, "Look Mom, I'm glowing big!" He shows me how big he's getting by making this "zzzzzzzzzzz" sound as he reaches from his feet all the way up his body, past his head, as far as he can stretch!
So I was a bit confused yesterday when Hannah told me she was going to have a "Growing party!" I am interested in her creativity and ask, "Oh, you're going to have a growing party, huh?"
"No, Mom! A gRowing party" she says as she holds up her glow sticks!
Our kids have had some pretty interesting ways of saying things over the years here are some of my favorites:
Casey:
screwdriver= 'ee-la'
macaroni and cheese= 'dubba-dubba cheeeeeese'
fire truck= 'bire buck'
Hailey:
dear Heavenly Father= 'dubba day'
Tyler:
Tyler didn't speak
Hannah:
fluffy (her blankie)= 'huschly'
play= 'schlay'
drink= 'schlink'
...notice a pattern?
Nathan:
granola bar= 'riley bar'
grow= 'glow'
Emma
everything= grunt, scream, or cry.
..OK, I should give her a little more credit, she does like to babble.
