No, I'm not feeling under the weather, but thanks for thinking of me.
My tween daughter and her friend gave me a lesson in today's lingo. We were riding in the car when they started singing, "You'll be the prince, and I'll be the princess...."
I immediately recognized that to be the lyrics to the one and only Taylor Swift song I know.
Me: "Is that Taylor Swift?"
Hailey: (totally in shock) "How do you know that?!!!"
Me:" 'Cause I'm hip like that."
Friend: (read with sarcasm)"...uh, yeah, cause people say 'hip' all the time... "
Me: "Oh, yeah. OK, 'I'm tight.' "
Hailey: "That word is so yesterday."
Friend: "You're supposed to say, 'You're sick.' "
Me: "But I feel fine."
Friend: "You're sick means: you're cool."
I have a lot to learn.

ha ha ha... how cute! Pretty soon you'll be talking in ways only tween girls will understand. And you will have to explain it to us "old Ladies!"
As Abe Simpson told Homer:
I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now, what I'm with isn't "it", and what's "it" seems weird and scary to me.
YOU are SO sick! ;)
Will you aid me in becoming more cool with "it"?
Love ya!
Oh, I feel so out of the "cool" loop....
How did we become so "un-cool" so fast?
It is so sad :(
